Terms of Service

Effective date: July 15, 2026

1. Who we are; acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and EPIC CHANNELS LTD, a private company limited by shares registered in England and Wales under company number 16566980, whose registered office is at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. EPIC CHANNELS LTD operates the Dr. Hopps service and the drhopps.ai website (“Dr. Hopps”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using drhopps.ai, creating an account, or submitting any content to the service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What the service is — and what it is not

Dr. Hopps provides AI-generated, rabbit-specific educational information: a health chat, a food safety scanner, an emergency triage questionnaire, and related features. Answers are generated by large language models and grounded, where possible, in peer-reviewed veterinary literature.

The service is not veterinary care, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, or a second opinion; not a substitute for examination by a licensed veterinarian; and not an emergency service. No veterinarian–client–patient relationship (VCPR) or any comparable professional relationship is created. Any decision you make about your animal’s care is yours alone, made at your own risk.

Dr. Hopps is not a veterinarian

Dr. Hopps is an artificial-intelligence information service. It does not practice veterinary medicine, it does not examine your animal, and its output is general educational information that may be incomplete or wrong. Never delay, avoid, or replace professional veterinary care because of something Dr. Hopps told you. Rabbits deteriorate fast: if your rabbit has not eaten or passed stool for 10–12 hours, shows head tilt, laboured breathing, seizures, bleeding, or any sign of severe pain, contact a licensed veterinarian immediately.

3. AI output can be wrong

AI systems produce plausible-sounding but sometimes inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated output, including misidentification of foods, plants, symptoms, and severity levels. Cited sources may be summarised imperfectly. You must independently verify any information before acting on it, and you accept that severity indicators (such as “normal”, “monitor”, or “see a vet”) are heuristic suggestions, not clinical triage.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the service. If you use the service on behalf of someone else, you represent that you are authorised to bind them to these Terms.

5. Accounts

Some features require a free account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Free and paid plans; billing

The service currently offers free functionality and may offer paid subscription plans (“Pro”). For paid plans: prices are shown before purchase; subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period; and, except where required by law (including statutory withdrawal rights for EU/EEA consumers), fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable advance notice; changes apply from your next billing period. Usage limits (such as message, scan, or question quotas) are part of the plan description and may be enforced technically.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for emergencies or as a substitute for professional care;
  • use the output to provide veterinary (or medical) services to third parties;
  • upload unlawful content, content you have no right to share, or content depicting animal cruelty;
  • probe, scrape, crawl, rate-limit-evade, reverse engineer, or bulk-extract the service or its corpus;
  • use the service to build or train a competing product or dataset;
  • attempt to bypass usage limits, gating, or security measures (including rotating IPs or accounts);
  • submit content intended to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract the underlying models or prompts.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the text, photos, and videos you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service. Content you submit is processed by third-party AI and infrastructure providers (see Section 10). Do not upload photos of people, and do not include personal data of others in your submissions.

9. Our content and intellectual property

The service — including the Dr. Hopps name, mascot, videos, design, software, and curated knowledge base — is protected by intellectual-property laws and remains ours or our licensors’. Scientific source material referenced by the service is used under open licences (such as CC BY) and remains subject to its own licence terms and attribution. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own non-commercial purposes.

10. Third-party services

The service is built on third-party providers — including AI model providers (Anthropic), plant-identification services (Pl@ntNet), authentication (Clerk), hosting (Vercel), database and storage (Supabase), and embeddings infrastructure (Cloudflare). Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and their availability is outside our control. Links to external sources (such as scientific articles) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

11. Availability and changes to the service

The service is provided without any uptime commitment. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service (including free functionality and usage limits) at any time. Where a change materially reduces a paid plan you have already paid for, we will provide a pro-rata remedy where required by law.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the output is correct, complete, or suitable for your animal.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill; (b) we are not liable for injury to, illness of, or death of any animal, or for costs of veterinary care, arising from use of or reliance on the service; and (c) our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim or fifty (50) US dollars.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. Those rights remain unaffected.

14. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your content, your misuse of the service, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our own fault.

15. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access (with notice where practicable) if you breach these Terms, create risk for us or other users, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 8–9 and 12–14) survive.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give reasonable advance notice (for example by email or an in-service notice). If you continue using the service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the service and, for paid plans, you may cancel with effect from the end of the notice period.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules and without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country where you habitually reside. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Hungary, unless mandatory law gives you the right to sue in your home jurisdiction. EU/EEA consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.

18. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

19. Contact

Questions about these Terms: support@drhopps.ai

Dr. Hopps is an AI companion for rabbit owners. It is not a veterinary clinic and is not affiliated with any veterinary regulatory body. In an emergency, contact a licensed veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital immediately.
